Abbey (Abbi) falls

The waterfall is located in a private property. A narrow pathway leads you downward, where the view of the lovely waterfall maybe enjoyed.

Madikeri Fort

Originally built by Mudduraja and later rebuilt by Tippu Sulthan, the enigmatic fort houses a temple, a chapel, prison and a small museum.

Omkareshwara Temple

The beautiful temple incorporates a unique mix of architectural styles, with a harmonious blend of the Islamic and the Gothic styles of architecture. It was built by emperor Lingarajendra in 1820.

Raja Seat

An enthralling view point that the erstwhile rulers of Kodagu sat from to rejoice the scenic view from, it overlooks valleys and hills. It is a very popular sunset point.

Famous for its temples of historic importance and Spice Research Stations, it is situated at about 6 kms before Talacauvery.

Talacauvery

Source of the holy river Cauvery, Talacauvery is where the river emerges as a small perennial spring and then flows underground again to emerge a short distance away. The Shiva temple at Talacauvery houses a rare and ancient Shivling, while another temple is devoted to Lord Ganesha. Talacauvery is the ethereal union of divinity and serenity.

Nisargadhama

A picturesque island, right in the middle of river Cauvery, it is connected from one end to another with a rope bridge. The island is full of refreshing bamboo thickets and elephant rides maybe enjoyed here.

Tibetan Monastery

Namdroling Monastery was established by Pema Norbu Rinpoche, shortly after he came to India from Tibet. Today the monastery is home to nearly 5000 monks and nuns and is renowned as a centre that upholds the teachings of Buddha.

Dubare Elephant Camp

An elephant Training Camp run by the Forest Department, it is located on the banks of river Cauvery. The elephants for Mysore Dasara are trained here as well. Visitors can participate in elephant interaction, bathing and feeding amidst nature’s own cosy springs and green seats.
